We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Resident Engineer to oversee our construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a PrTEch/PrEng, BEng, BSc, and Btech Engineering degree.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the construction projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed within the set timeframe and budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Manage and coordinate construction teams, including contractors, subcontractors, and on-site staff.
• Monitor and report on the progress of the construction project, providing regular updates to the client, project manager, and other stakeholders.
• Review construction plans and drawings to ensure they meet the required standards and regulations.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify any issues, risks, or potential problems that may arise.
• Implement and enforce health and safety policies and procedures on-site.
• Attend meetings with the client, project manager, and other stakeholders to provide updates and address any concerns or issues that may arise.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the construction team and ensure that they have the necessary resources to complete the project.

Requirements:

• PrTEch/PrEng Registration with ECSA is essential,
• BEng or BSc Engineering degree.
• A minimum of 15 years of experience in a similar role.
• Must have experience in managing major road upgrade projects
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and techniques.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.
